Highland Capital Management, a global financial firm, has provided support to the Engage speaking series through a $10 million endowment, to support the Bush Center’s work and long-term goals. The gift was announced in January 2018.
Highland Capital has previously contributed $5 million to the Bush Center and is one of the Founding Benefactors which helped the Bush Center open its facilities in 2013.
The Engage series addresses topics such as applying the constitution to our modern world and understanding today’s news media landscape. One of the events sponsored by Highland Capital featured the speaker Christopher Scalia, son of Antonin Scalia. Scalia spoke about his book on his father’s favorite personal speeches.
